Unilever employees with the support of Flora run the world's most beautiful marathon in aid of Thokomala!
Over Easter weekend 2012, Paul Polman, Unilever's global Chairman, Doug Bailey, Gail Klintworth and other international Unilever top managers will descend upon Cape Town to run the Two Oceans marathon to raise funds for Thokomala.
The South African Chairman, Marijn van Tiggelen plus a number of Unilever's 2011 Comrades runners will join the global executives. All the runners will reach out to their family, friends and business contacts to raise as much money as possible for Thokomala.
This link will take you to the Givengain Foundation's website, which facilitates donations for Thokomala. Each runner is loaded as an "activist" and can point his or her supporters to their webpage for pledges and messages of support.
Flora is issuing every runner with a branded race kit.
Easter weekend 2012 is a repeat of Thokomala's initial founding drive when Niall FitzGerald,
then Unilever's global Chairman and Doug Baillie, then Unilever South Africa's Chairman ran the New York Marathon and raised R1m to get Thokomala started!
