On an annual basis some of our regular expenses include :
House Mother

Medical Allowance

R440 per child per annum, public clinics
Foster Care Grant Tie-over Allowance
R 10, 000.00

Once off - Tie over Allowance to cover groceries, clothing and other living expenses until receipt of Government Foster Care Grants.
Educational Allowance
R 6, 600.00

Per child to cover school fees, uniforms, books and stationery.
House Maintenance>
R 5, 500.00

For small repairs and/or replacement in the house

Our homes need regular upgrading as six kids cause a lot of wear & tear! So donations in kind are always welcome, i.e. house hold appliances, bed linen, towels and of course clothes, shoes, books, etc.

If you wish to donate,we need

  • Contributions to the ENDOWMENT or EDUCATION FUND
  • SCHOOL UNIFORMS, stationery, etc for a year cost about R2000 per family
  • BOOKS & educational toys are always appreciated
  • Initiate PAYROLL GIVING in your company (great to involve employees)
  • The SOCIAL WORKER receives an annual salary of around R110 000 that is about R8 400 pm plus a Christmas bonus.
  • CLOTHES/SHOES are needed every year (children grow quickly)
  • Paint, furniture, appliances, household goods, garden tools, security, etc.
  • Volunteer involvement (garden set up, yard/house maintenance, holiday outings, parties,
  • Mentors for teenage children .

Don’t forget: EVERYTHING will enhance the children’s lives, whether you give money, or supply paint for the walls, or give of your time to play with kids on the weekend.
